Kicks for Cancer Fundraiser Workout
- Event Date: Sept. 11, 2022
Event Details
Powdermill CrossFit has teamed up with Kicks for Cancer to help raise funds to help Kick Cancer's Butt!!!
Kicks for Cancer originated in 2007 as an idea - a way to honor the life and spirit of Lois Wells, the mother of Concord-Carlisle High School (CCHS) varsity soccer alums (1996-1998) Steve Wells and Dan Wells (1989-1990). After playing soccer for Connecticut College (1999-2002), Steve returned to CCHS as an assistant coach for the men’s soccer team in 2003. In 2009, Steve joined the CCHS Special Education department as tutor and has been a Special Education teacher since 2012. Funds go to Dana Farber for Ovarian Cancer Research.
All donations and $20 fees from this workout are going directly to Kicks for Cancer.
This will be a fun, accessible workout for adults.
We'll use stations and teams with rest built in to get you a good workout, no matter what you like to do for fitness currently.
Seriously, you can do this and it will be fun. NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED. Do tell us about injuries though so that we can work around them.
What will you do? Squats, Lunges, Bike, Row, Sit Ups... various body weight exercises with :40 seconds on and :20 seconds rest between each station.
